Now in its second year, the GT-R, Nissan's iconic supercar, roared onto the scene for the 2010 model year. The inception year, in which the Nissan GT-R for sale experienced far more success than anyone expected, was a tough act to follow. The Nissan GT-R had its work cut out for it. Did Nissan exceed? The answer to that question is a resounding yes, if for no other reason than the reprogramming of the launch control system that had caused so many problems in the 2009 edition.
The 2010 Nissan GT-R for sale is a high-performance sports coupe with 2+2 seating available at two trim levels. The base trim includes 20-inch alloy wheels, keyless entry and ignition, automatic climate control, leather upholstery, power front seats, Brembo brakes, xenon headlights, and an electronically adjustable suspension. It also includes Bluetooth connectivity, a 6-speaker CD/MP3 sound system with satellite radio, a navigation system with a 30GB hard drive, and a driver-configurable multifunction information monitor.

On top of that impressive package, the Premium trim level adds heated front seats and higher performance tires. Nissan also upgrades the audio package to an 11-speaker Bose system with dual subwoofers. There are also three options. One is the Cold Weather package including Dunlop all-season tires and a unique coolant-to-water ratio that Nissan installs at no additional charge. The "Super Silver" paint scheme and the iPod connectivity come at an additional charge.
Under the hood, the all-wheel-drive 2010 Nissan GT-R for sale includes a 3.8-liter V6 with twin-turbochargers that provides an exhilarating 485 horsepower and 434 pound-feet of torque. Nissan pairs the engine with a 6-speed dual-clutch automated manual transmission. With this setup, the Nissan GT-R powers from 0-60 mph in less than 4 seconds, and it accomplishes the quarter-mile in less than 12 seconds at a top speed near 120 mph. Not that anyone in the market for a Nissan GT-R for sale will care, but the EPA estimates fuel performance as 16 mpg city, 21 mpg highway, and 18 mpg combined.
The Nissan GT-R's interior is driver-focused, and it does an amazing job providing a near-perfect driving experience for short periods. However, the interior is otherwise a bit on the minimalist side. The quality of what is there is quite high, and it all gives the impression of master craftsmanship. The snug sport-style bucket seats are fine for relatively short trips, but the entire experience becomes backbreaking if one pushes it. The rear seating is appropriate for no one save small children on short trips.
The multifunction performance monitor we mentioned in the equipment section is a polarizing addition. Polyphony Digital created it. They are the same company that makes the highly popular Gran Turismo video game for the PlayStation consoles. One can definitely see that inspiration in the design. One will either love it or hate it. If you find yourself in the latter category, it's easily ignored and not a deal-breaker.
The bottom line on the 2010 Nissan GT-R for sale is that it's an amazing performance vehicle, and is perfect for the person who has big money to spend on a big toy. The fact that Nissan doesn't offer a manual transmission will be a deal-breaker for some. For everyone else just seeking a sports car, the big and bulky nature of this one along with a ride that grows uncomfortable over time will likely send them looking elsewhere.
